കൊറോണ മഹാമാരിയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില് 2019-'20 സാമ്പത്തികവര്ഷം 15 മാസമായി നീട്ടണമെന്ന് ഓഡിറ്റര്മാരും വിവിധ വ്യവസായ സംഘടനകളും കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാരിനോടാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. സര്ക്കാര് ഇക്കാര്യം പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതായും ഇതുമൂലമുണ്ടാകുന്ന പ്രത്യാഘാതത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വ്യവസായ വിദഗ്ധരുമായി ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നതായുമാണ് വിവരം.
ശുപാര്ശപ്രകാരം 2019-'20 സാമ്പത്തിക വര്ഷം ജൂണ് വരെ നീട്ടണം. ജൂലായില് തുടങ്ങുന്ന പുതിയ സാമ്പത്തികവര്ഷം 2021 മാര്ച്ചില് അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാനാകും. കമ്പനികള്ക്ക് കണക്കുകള് പരിശോധിക്കാന് കൂടുതല് സമയം നല്കുന്നതിനും ഓഡിറ്റര്മാര്ക്ക് നേരിട്ട് പരിശോധന നടത്താന് അവസരമൊരുക്കാനുമാണ് സാമ്പത്തികവര്ഷം നീട്ടണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം ശക്തമാകുന്നത്.
