2022 ലോകകപ്പ് ഫുട്ബാള് യോഗ്യതാ റൗണ്ടിലെ ആദ്യ മത്സരത്തില് വ്യാഴായ്ച്ച ഇന്ത്യ ഒമാനെ നേരിടും. ഗുവാഹത്തിയിലെ ഇന്ദിരാ ഗാന്ധി അത്ലറ്റിക് സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തില് രാത്രി 7.30 നാണ് മത്സരം. ചരിത്രത്തില് ഒരിക്കല് പോലും ഇന്ത്യക്ക് ഒമാനെ തോല്പ്പിക്കാന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. 10 തവണ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടിയപ്പോള് ഏഴു മത്സരണങ്ങളില് ഇന്ത്യ തോറ്റു. മൂന്ന് മത്സരങ്ങള് സമനിലയില് അവസാനിച്ചു.

1 - 1991 മെയ് നാലിന് ഹൈദരാബാദില് നടന്ന പ്രീ ഒളിമ്പിക് മത്സരത്തില് ഇന്ത്യ ഒമാനെ (1-1) സമനിലയില് തളച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യക്കായി മാരിയോ സോറസ് ഗോള് നേടി.
2 - 1994 സെപ്റ്റംബര് 21 ന് ദോഹയില് നടന്ന ഇന്ഡിപെന്ഡന്റ് കപ്പ് സെമി ഫൈനലില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (4-1) തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോള് ജോപോള് അഞ്ചേരിയുടെ വക.
3 - 1995 ഒക്ടോബര് 29 ന് മഡ്ഗാവില് നടന്ന പ്രീ ഒളിമ്പിക് മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (2-1) തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോള് ശബീര് പാഷയുടെ ബൂട്ടില് നിന്ന്.
4 - 1995 ഒക്ടോബര് 18 ന് മസ്കറ്റില് നടന്ന പ്രീ ഒളിമ്പിക് മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (3-2) തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോളുകള് നേടിയത് അജയ് സിങ്ങും ബൈച്ചുങ് ബൂട്ടിയയും.
5 - 2004 മാര്ച്ച് 31 ന് കൊച്ചിയില് നടന്ന ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യതാ മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (5-1) ന് തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോള് നേടിയത് റെനഡി സിങ്.
6 - 2004 നവംബര് 14 ന് മസ്കറ്റില് നടന്ന ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യതാ മത്സരത്തില് ഇന്ത്യ ഓമനെ ഗോള്രഹിത സമനിലയില് തളച്ചു.
7 - 2012 ഫെബ്രുവരി 23 ന് മസ്കറ്റില് നടന്ന സൗഹൃദ മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (5-1) തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോള് ജോക്വി അബരാഞ്ചസ് നേടി.
8 - 2015 ജൂണ് 11 ന് ബാംഗ്ലൂരില് നടന്ന ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യതാ മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (2-1) ന് തോല്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗോള് നേടിയത് സുനില് ഛേത്രി.
9 - 2015 ഒക്ടോബര് 13 ന് ദുബൈയില് നടന്ന ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യതാ മത്സരത്തില് ഒമാന് ഇന്ത്യയെ (3-0) ന് തോല്പ്പിച്ചു.
10 - 2018 ഫെബ്രുവരി ഒന്നിന് മസ്കറ്റില് നടന്ന സൗഹൃദ മത്സരത്തില് ഇന്ത്യയും ഒമാനും ഗോള്രഹിത സമനിലയില് പിരിഞ്ഞു.
