സ്പോര്ട്സ് ക്വാട്ട നിയമനത്തില് കേരള സര്ക്കാരിന് റെക്കോഡ് നേട്ടമെന്ന് മന്ത്രി ഇ.പി. ജയരാജന് പറഞ്ഞു. കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നര വര്ഷത്തിനിടെ 245 താരങ്ങള്ക്ക് നിയമനം നല്കി. എല്.ഡി.സി. തസ്തികയില് നിയമനം ലഭിച്ച സന്തോഷ് ട്രോഫി കേരള ടീമിലെ 11 താരങ്ങള് മന്ത്രിയെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു. പൊതുവിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പില് സൂപ്പര് ന്യൂമററി പ്രകാരം എല്.ഡി ക്ലാര്ക്ക് തസ്തികയിലാണ് 11 പേരും ജോലിയില് പ്രവേശിച്ചത്.
താരങ്ങള്ക്ക് കളിയില് തുടരാനുള്ള എല്ലാ അവസരവും നല്കുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. സ്പോര്ട്സ് ക്വാട്ടയില് 2010 മുതല് 2014 വരെയുള്ള റാങ്ക് പട്ടികയില് നിന്ന് 195 താരങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഫെബ്രുവരി 20ന് നിയമന ഉത്തരവ് കൈമാറുമെന്നും മന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ ഈ സര്ക്കാര് മൂന്നര വര്ഷത്തിനിടെ നിയമനം നല്കിയ കായിക താരങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം 440 ആകും.
ഫുട്ബാള് മത്സരത്തിനിടെ മരിച്ച കായികതാരം ധനരാജിന്റെ ഭാര്യയ്ക്ക് സഹകരണ വകുപ്പില് ജോലി നല്കും. പുറമെ ദേശീയ ഗെയിംസില് ടീമിനത്തില് വെള്ളി, വെങ്കലം നേടിയ 83 കായികതാരങ്ങളെ എല്.ഡി.സി തസ്തികയില് നിയമിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉത്തരവ് അയയ്ക്കും. ദേശീയ ഗെയിംസില് വ്യക്തിഗത ഇനങ്ങളില് സ്വര്ണ്ണം, വെള്ളി, വെങ്കലം നേടിയവര്ക്കും ടീമിനത്തില് സ്വര്ണ്ണം നേടിയവര്ക്കും നേരത്തെ ജോലി നല്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇതോടെ നിയമനം ലഭിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം 523 ആകും.
നിയമനം ലഭിച്ച മുഹമ്മദ് ഷെറീഫ്, ജിയാദ് ഹസന്, ജസ്റ്റിന് ജോര്ജ്ജ്, രാഹുല്, ശ്രീക്കുട്ടന്, ജിതിന്, ജിതിന്, ഷംനാസ്, സജിത്ത് പൗലോസ്, അഫ്ദാല്, അനുരാഗ് എന്നിവര് പരിശീലകന് സതീവന് ബാലനൊപ്പമാണ് മന്ത്രിയെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കാനെത്തിയത്. ഏഷ്യന് ഗെയിംസില് മെഡല് നേടിയ പി.യു.ചിത്ര, വി.കെ.വിസ്മയ എന്നിവര്ക്ക് നിയമനം നല്കാനുള്ള നടപടികള് അവസാനഘട്ടത്തിലാണെന്ന് മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
