കൊവിഡ് 19ന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില് സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ സഹകരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില് നിന്നും സഹകരണ ബാങ്കുകളില് നിന്നും എടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള വായ്പകള്ക്ക് സംസ്ഥാന സഹകരണ വകുപ്പ് മൊറട്ടോറിയം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. 2020 ജനുവരി ഒന്നുമുതല് മേയ് 31വരെയാണ് മൊറട്ടോറിയം.
എല്ലാ വിധ വായ്പകള്ക്കും മൊറട്ടോറിയം ബാധകമാണ്. മൊറട്ടോറിയം കാലാവധിയില് വായ്പകള്ക്ക് പിഴ പലിശ ഈടാക്കാന് പാടില്ല. കൂടാതെ നിലവിലുള്ള നിശ്ചിത നിരക്കിലുള്ള പലിശ ബാങ്കുകള്ക്ക് മൊറട്ടോറിയം കാലാവധിക്ക് ശേഷം ഈടാക്കുന്നതാണ്.
എന്നാല് സഹകരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള് സ്വന്തം ഫണ്ട് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നല്കുന്ന വായ്പകളിലെ പലിശ അതാതു സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലെ ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ തീരുമാനമനുസരിച്ച് ആവശ്യമെങ്കില് ഇളവ് ചെയ്തു കൊടുക്കാവുന്നതാണെന്നും ഉത്തരവില് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
