ഏപ്രില് മാസത്തില് സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ വരുമാനം കേവലം 250 കോടി രൂപ മാത്രമായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ധനമന്ത്രി തോമസ് ഐസക്. നിലവില് സര്ക്കാര് ജീവനക്കാര്ക്ക് ശമ്പളം പോലും കൊടുക്കാന് കഴിയാത്ത അവസ്ഥയാണ്. കേരളത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിസന്ധിയുടെ ആഴം മെയ് മാസത്തിന് ശേഷമേ വ്യക്തമാകുകയുളളൂവെന്നും തോമസ് ഐസക് മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ വരുമാനത്തിന് പുറമേ കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ സഹായം കൂടി ലഭിച്ചാല് 2000 കോടി വരും. ഇത് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ശമ്പളം കൊടുക്കാന് പോലും തികയില്ല. കടമെടുക്കുക മാത്രമാണ് മുന്പിലുളള പോംവഴി. ഓവര്ഡ്രാഫ്റ്റ് അടക്കം വെയ്സ് ആന്റ് മീന്സ് ആയി പണമെടുക്കും. ശമ്പളം കൊടുക്കുന്നതോടെ ഇത് ഓവര്ഡ്രാഫ്റ്റിന്റെ അങ്ങേയറ്റം എത്തും. റിസര്വ് ബാങ്കിന്റെ നിര്ദേശപ്രകാരം ട്രഷറി പൂട്ടേണ്ട അവസ്ഥ വരെ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാമെന്നും തോമസ് ഐസക് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്കി. കെഎസ്ആര്ടിസി ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ശമ്പളം മുടങ്ങില്ല. അതിന് ആവശ്യമായ സഹായങ്ങള് നല്കുമെന്നും തോമസ് ഐസക് പറഞ്ഞു.
