രാജ്യത്ത് കൊറോണ വൈറസ് വ്യാപനം തടയുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ലോക്ക് ഡൗണ് തുടരുന്നതിനിടെ എല്ലാ ആഭ്യന്തര വിമാന സര്വീസുകളും ഏപ്രില് 14 വരെ നിര്ത്തി വെച്ചു. സിവില് വ്യോമയാന ഡയറക്ടര് ജനറലാണ് ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചത്.
അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിമാന സര്വീസുകള്ക്ക് ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്ന വിലക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഏപ്രില് 15 വരെ നീട്ടിയിരുന്നു. കൊറോണ വൈറസ് വ്യാപനം തടയുന്നതിനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി രാജ്യത്തെ എല്ലാ തീവണ്ടി സര്വീസുകളും അന്തര്സംസ്ഥാന ബസ് സര്വീസുകളും നിര്ത്തി വെച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് പുറമെ ലോകത്തെ മിക്ക രാജ്യങ്ങളും വിമാന സര്വീസുകള്ക്ക് വിലക്കേര്പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൊറോണ വ്യാപനം തടയുന്നതിനുള്ള ഈ നീക്കം വ്യോമയാന മേഖലയ്ക്ക് കനത്ത ആഘാതമാണ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. പല വിമാനക്കമ്പനികളും ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ശമ്പളവും ആനുകൂല്യങ്ങളും വെട്ടിക്കുറയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
